Hello I’m Mark Shimmin— you can call me Coach Mark
I know what it is like to be faced with challenges that can feel impossible to overcome. I was diagnosed with failure to thrive at 6 months of age. This diagnosis could have meant a life of physical and emotional difficulty, and for many it unfortunately does.
As I grew up my desire to become the best version of myself, to push through goals I never thought possible, and to connect my mind to my body became my world. By high school, I become a high level running competitor. In college, I competed for Cal State San Marcos where I was coached by some of America’s highest achieving athletes. After college, I went on to compete in various races on the track, road, cross country, and trail.
Together we approach your individual journey. Much like a fingerprint, each runner has their own unique stride and every person has their own adaptable mindset. We can address your hurdles at the grass-root level; from run coaching to overcoming injuries and full BodyMind coaching, I am here to support you in becoming the best version of yourself.
